A family’s guide to choosing an adventure

A practical checklist for parents: store ratings, advertising, purchase controls and a shared first session.

ARTISTIC RECONSTRUCTION

Begin with the individual store listing

Jurassic Dinos publishes several kinds of games, from dinosaur simulators to ocean adventures and discovery experiences. A shared publisher does not mean every title has the same rating, features or monetization. Before downloading, open the individual Google Play listing and check the current information for your region.

Look at the age rating and its explanation. Review the notices about advertising and in-app purchases, the device requirements and the Data safety section. A rating describes a store classification; it does not guarantee that a particular game matches every child’s interests or comfort level.

Make purchases an adult decision

Review your Google Play purchase authentication settings and any family approval tools available to your account. Keep payment credentials under adult control. Explain the difference between earning progress through play and purchasing something through the store. Our website does not take payments for the games.

If you need help with a charge, use your purchase history and Google Play’s official support process. Never send a full card number or account password through a support form. A short description and the game name are enough to begin a conversation.

Try the first session together

Sit together for a few minutes and observe the interface, sound and encounters. Let the child show you what they notice. Agree on session length, breaks and the circumstances in which they should ask for help. A shared start can reveal more about the experience than a screenshot alone.

If the game provides sound or graphics options, explore them together. Device-level family and screen-time controls may also help, depending on the platform and account setup. Use the official instructions for your device rather than assuming every model offers the same controls.

Turn play into curiosity

After a session, choose one creature to investigate. The encyclopedia distinguishes dinosaurs from pterosaurs, marine reptiles, sharks and other prehistoric groups. This can lead to a useful discussion about fiction, reconstructions and fossil evidence.

An illustration is not a photograph of a prehistoric animal. Exact colors, sounds and many behaviors remain uncertain. A game can deliberately combine animals from different periods. Our field notes mark categories and cite sources so that a child’s questions can continue beyond the screen.

Keep community participation adult-led

Website email subscriptions and contact forms are for adults. Community artwork should be original and submitted by an adult, without children’s names, faces, school details or contact information. Any configured Discord community is for ages 13 and above and remains a third-party service.

Our parents’ page gathers these resources. If a game is not behaving as expected, visit support with its name, version, device model and a simple description. Do not include sensitive information.
